Crystal River –

Flow: 58 cfs/Redstone, 98 cfs/Carbondale

Conditions: Fall is here and fishing has picked back up with November yielding the best fishing of autumn. BWOs are the main hatch along with a smattering of midges. Look for the best fishing to take place in the afternoons and evenings as the morning hours are chilly. The water is low and clear at this time of year thus being as stealthy as possible pays big dividends. Egg patterns are always a must-have in November as this is THE month for the brown trout and whitefish spawn. The streamer bite has been good too. Just be sure to stick to smaller patterns like buggers and pine squirrel leeches for the best results. As always, feel free to give us a call for daily river conditions at 970.93.5741
