Colorado River –
Flow: 2,000 cfs/Glenwood Springs
Conditions: Early mornings are the name of game right now when water conditions are still favorable. Dawn patrol is seeing good streamer fishing where fish can be landed quickly on heavier tippets. The dry fly fishing is picking back up as hoppers/chubbies are producing surface eats. Rubberleg stones, Zirdles, Sally’s and PMDs are the mainstay nymphs. On most days we are off the river and done fishing by 2pm. Monsoonal rains often can give us windows of extended fishing with cooling rains and overcast. Keep your fingers crossed!
