Frying Pan River

Flow: 145cfs/below Ruedi Reservoir

Conditions: Whether it’s January or July, water temps on the Frying Pan remain in the 40s below the dam. Because of that most hatches occur during the afternoons consisting of a mixed bag of PMDs, BWOs and Green Drakes. Caddis, Midges and Stonefly are lesser hatches.  Light fluoro tippets of 6X are pretty standard fare on the Pan. It pays to be on the river early or late especially on the more popular fishing areas closer to the dam. Evenings are seeing risers sipping Rusty Spinners and midges.
