Frying Pan River-

Flow: 113 cfs/dam

Conditions: As is frequently the norm, low and clear water conditions are present. Hatches are consisting of midges and BWOs below the dam with sporadic caddis and stonefly hatches along the lower river. Look for the best dry fly fishing to occur during the afternoon hours of 12-4pm. Light fluorocarbon tippets of 6x and 7x are mandatory to be successful. PMDs will come around again beginning in mid-June. Streamer fishing has generally been slow with low light periods offering the best bite. Small and dark streamers are favored by most. Mysis Shrimp are still ever popular immediately below the dam though low flows are never conducive to good numbers spilling through.
