Crystal River –

Flow: 208 cfs/Redstone, 325 cfs/Carbondale

Conditions: It’s been a big snowpack year along the Crystal River drainage and lately there’s been plenty of low-lying snow melting off with our warmer weather. Like most freestone rivers at this time of year, extended cold snaps in the weather may aid in clearing the river, momentarily providing a fishing window. The upper river is clear but access is still limited due to the abundance of snow. Look for the best flies to be smaller attractor nymph patterns or smaller streamers. As always, feel free to give us a call for daily river conditions at 970.963.5741 It looks like this summer and fall is going to be spectacular with superb water conditions! In general, better fishing can be had elsewhere in the Valley right now.
