Frying Pan River Fishing Report
Flow: 62 cfs/below Ruedi Reservoir
Conditions: Low, clear, cold and seeing superb dry fly fishing. Green drakes, PMDs, BWOs, Serratellas, and midges are all being seen. This does make for picky fish though as the hatches often overlap making it hard to decipher what insect a specific fish is keyed-in on. Stealth is of the utmost importance now, both from an approach/wading standpoint and for your tippet size (we strongly suggest 6x and 7x fluorocarbon tippets). Weekend traffic is busy so be prepared to have a Plan B, C, or D if your favorite spot is taken. The middle river is seeing a bit less traffic than near the dam with equally good hatches.
