Frying Pan River

Flow: 110cfs/below Ruedi Reservoir

Conditions: Low, clear, cold and reliable. As runoff subsides on the Roaring Fork and Colorado rivers fishing pressure should ease on the Pan. Good hatches of BWOs are being seen daily with PMDs making an appearance in the past week. Caddis and midges round out the list of lesser hatches. Nymph the morning hours with PMD and BWO imitations until hatches begin in the afternoons. Light fluoro tippets of 6X are pretty standard fare on the Pan. It pays to be on the river early especially on the more popular fishing areas closer to the dam.
